My CrossCheck was used for 3 years as muy everyday bike - fixed gear, fat cross tires (35, then 42s and studs). Worked great as a snow, ice, all overe bike. Miss it already - but also missed a proper MTB... so... enter the Soma. </description>

		<description>also, those tires work ok for packed snow.  Rode snow machine trails last winter with those exact tires.  Only thing is they will sink now and then,  plus you take a beating over snowshoe tracks.</description>
