http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/04/polar-pressure-pattern-driving-chill-nearly-off-chart/

Of course, nobody is quite sure how this thing works... only that it's appearance means a lot more snow and freezing cold.

Keep warm out there.

CBP -

I heard the avalanche danger was high at Farrell Park - with all the snow sliding off the roofs. Yes, I would have sherpa'd you out no problem. Of course you would have been sent a bill for the services. Coffee and treats from Klinger's would pay the cost for rescue... ;)

Aaron -

I ran those last year - still have em but like the wider 2.1 exreme. After going down in deeper snow last year I picked these up lightly used for cheap. I have more confidence in riding through the nasty stuff with these - although they make pushing the 106's around seem easy.

I tried to go for a quick ride on my "winter" bike which is equipped with 700x35 Nokian W106's. Didn't work out so well. WAY too much snow in my neighborhood. I now understand why they make the Extremes!
