It sounds fantastic, and I wish I could be there. Best wishes for a perfect day for all.
Trying to bring a roustabout/pirate from Salem, MA. up for this ride and for once J and I won’t be in Maine or Oregon.
114K is plenty long, but I sure will miss Shaker Mtn. Rd.
I have thought about running a ‘southern’ short ride. Would be about the same distance. Out Gov. Chit, Dugway, Main, Mayo, then the end of the 200k route.
But I do like that the 114k route follows the 200k along, so folks can ride together for a bit. And West Farm and Irish Settlement and the like are scenic…
Tell him to bring up the Vaya or the Soma. Both would work nicely.
Probably his Vaya – the Soma saddle is for short efforts, I think.
Dugway is a nice alternative to Wes White, which some have said is punitive in nature.
