  1. Nice. I had a short, but intense paragliding career. I did my first lessons in Switzerland as well.

  2. Oh wow. I really like it… even after crashing into a woodshed and hanging off a telephone wire between two farmhouses on my fourth flight… thankfully uninjured, but I tore up the instructor’s wing. Waiting on my wing to arrive so I can continue with lessons. I really want to be skilled enough to do the paragliding equivalent of bikepacking – vol-biv….

  3. Wow that’s some drama on the 4th flight. I’m glad you weren’t hurt. You can always replace gear. My only piece of advice as you progress is to make good decisions on launch. It can be hard to walk away from a planned flight, but if conditions are not appropriate that’s the best choice.

  4. That’s a good pic. Funny how small the world can be. I’ve already walked down the training hill when there was crosswind, and am pretty conservative – so I hope to keep the up. As another pilot told me ‘better to be down here and wish you were up there than being up there wishing you were down here…’
