Dusting

Closing down for the night I watched the rain turn to sleet turn to snow. This morning there was a dusting of the white stuff – nothing sticking to the roads – but it was cold and wet. Certainly de-motivating to get in some decent miles this morning. Cyclists tend to complain about the same things – helmets, drivers, and the weather. I’m officially done with the snow and the wet and I’m complaining. I’m positive that once my new rain gear arrives we’ll have sunny skies and mild temperatures and I’ll never need to wear it.

I was only in the cafe for a few minutes.

  1. I hear ya brother Mike. I’m amazed at the miles I put up in March though, cold and all.

  2. Much much nicer this morning. Fire orange moon sinking behind the ADKs as I pedaled down the lakefront. Left the mini tripod on the bench – so no snaps but it was stunning.
Milder temps too. Cannot wait to get back into 200 mile weeks. I’m just done with the wind chill and ice cream headaches. And all those layers bunching up and feeling like a marshmallow man.

Sunday is looking nice for our ride. RCP training first though, now that coffee is officially part of the training program.
