First serious cold snap here in VT. Managed 35 or so today and have been pretty consistent the last few weeks logging miles.
After playing on various tire combinations this year I’m back to my trusty Continental 4 Season GP’s. Too many flats on the Pasela’s and Challenge tires… felt great to ride the Conti’s again.
How do the continentals ride compared to the Pasela and Challenge tires?
I really like the Conti’s ride. I’ve been rolling on them for 5+ years now. I wish they would run true to size – my ’28’ is about 26+ on an Open Pro rim. The Challenge were pretty smooth – but too fragile for my taste. The Pasela’s rode OK – for the cost they can’t be beat.
Would that Conti make a 32c or a big 28 in that same tire. 🙁
yes, would be nice if they made a proper 28 and a 30 or 32… 🙁
but seeing as they are conti, i doubt it.
i think those ‘contacts’ run pretty true to size though.
Brr. The ice on the railing is quite striking. Glad you are still logging good miles!
I love that stretch of the Burlington Bike Path. At least until the surface becomes that frozen obstacle course stuff the can turn full suspension bikes into bucking wild animals.
